Research Assistant I/II (several posts)
Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health
(to commence as soon as possible for one year on temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in public health, nursing, preventive medicine, or a discipline related to biomedical science. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (particularly Cantonese), and a keen interest in epidemiology and public health research. They should be responsible, hardworking, self-motivated, organized, detail-minded, and able to work independently and as a team. Knowledge of microbiology particularly antimicrobial resistance and experience in conducting fieldwork are highly preferred. Relevant research experience would be an advantage. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be appointed as Research Assistant II.
The appointees will assist in a range of ongoing community-based research projects, including preparing study materials, participant recruitment, conducting health education, sample collection, data analysis, and other duties as assigned.
